WEIMAR GUITAR QUARTET CD RELEASE!

As of today our debut CD has been officially released!

Thanks again to everyone who supported us in this project. For all our preorders, we hope you have enjoyed listening to the CD!

If you haven’t gotten one yet, you can order it through our website or download it online through iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby etc.

Our debut CD contains a program that is rich in variety, featuring a range of colourful and picturesque works by composers from 8 different countries that both challenged and inspired us. This diverse selection of pieces include charming renaissance dances, evocative contemporary Australian music, intricate Brazilian melodies, evocative romantic lines, and even a groovy tango!


Here is a photo from our recent visit to Weimar to celebrate along with our sound engineer Leopold Stoffels! We also discussed all of our upcoming plans, concerts and recordings for 2019. Will be a fun year! :)

My new guitar is one month old already, they grow up so fast! For all of you wondering and asking me about the woods my new guitar is made of, here is a list for you.


Top: Spruce
Back and sides: Ziricote
Fingerboard: Macassar
Neck: Kahya
Headplate: Blackwood TEC
Bridge and bindings: Pau Ferro

I think it’s quite an interesting choice of woods, definitely a bit unconventional, but it works really well.

RECORDING SESSION AT BAROS RECORDS

I spent two wonderful days recording with Uroš Barič at his studio in Slovenia. Plenty new videos coming up very soon! I could have not wished for a better recording experience and I’m really lucky to have known Uroš for many years now. It’s always such a pleasure working with him - not only is he highly professional, but as he is a great guitarist himself he understands exactly how to achieve a perfect sound.
